Here we are...half a year has flown by with us holding on to its wings. Sid (8) has grown taller as can be seen by the gap between his britches legs and tennis shoes. Something about white socks at the end of the school year doesn't seem to bother me...if we can just make it to shorts weather. Who knows how many more growth spurts he will have before he begins his 3rd grade year. Whoa! He has had his baseball end of season party celebrating a winning year and his piano recital which was amazing. He will be acting as a Lord in the Shakespeare play, "Macbeth" at the school's festival tomorrow. He has several lines and has begun to show some signs of nervousness. We just keep telling him he will do just fine all along holding back our signs of nervousness for him. He knows his part, but it is his first time to perform. He is such a precious young man. He along with the rest of us are looking forward to the days at the ranch this summer. This will be Meredith's (3 1/2 mo.) first summer....of course, everything is Meredith's first. She had her first swim party in her first swimsuit and went swimming for the first time yesterday. Let me just tell you, she looks MUCH cuter in her swimsuit than I do in mine - of course that doesn't take much! She caught some looks! She is such a doll. Every morning we are greeted with smiles and kicks of happiness, which is the greatest way to start any day! She brings such joy to each of us.
